Hi Brooke! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to us!
Tell us about that first track that put Brooke Evers on the map in the electronic scene and the journey since.
The first track I ever did we a remake of the hit song “Thong Song” by Sisqo. I’ve always been a big fan of the music In late 90s and I thought this would be perfect. Right now the cover has gained almost 2 million streams which to me is a huge achievement….
Your latest track “Feel It” dropped April 12th, tell us about the track and the inspiration for it?
I had so much fun producing this track here in LA. I wanted to create a beat that you could play in the car, club, gym anywhere. I’m all about music that makes you feel like getting up and dancing.
What single night out has been the most memorable for you as a DJ and a Producer?
I scored an awesome gig in India for the first time this year. I had zero expectations for this show then as soon as I got to sound check I knew this show was going to change my life. I dj’d in front of over 21000 people and It was a solo show! It was one of the greatest feelings to this day and I won’t forget it!
Tell us more about your Health and Fitness Lifestyle and Daily Routine?
Health and Fitness has been in my blood since I was a young girl. I recently opened my very own F45 Franchise in West Hollywood. It’s been going off in Hollywood and I’m so pumped to be apart of such an iconic brand. I’m also an ambassador for GHOST lifestyle supplements. I incorporate GHOST in my everyday routine and It’s really helped me stay in shape and feel great especially on the road touring.
Give us the name of one track that never gets old for you no matter how many times you listen to it?
I recently added “Call on Me” Eric Prydz again to my playlists… that track will never get old!
Are there any Tours / residencies / upcoming events that you’re super excited about?
I just returned home from a crazy 4 day tour of Monaco for Grand Prix then Chicago and San Diego….That was pretty insane travelling but amazing shows. This coming week I’m off again to Mexico then Atlantic City which is a residency I have had for the past four years. Then it’s off to Europe for some down time and a couple of shows in Greece.
Tell us one thing weird the world doesn’t know about Brooke Evers?
I have a really bad addiction to Dutch liquorice
How do you get a track started? Tell us a bit about your production process. How long does it take you to complete a track on average, do you ever get writer’s block and who has been your favourite co-lab?
I always look at what is charting in all different genres before I step foot in the studio. Music changes so quickly it’s hard to keep up but I like to get a little feel as to what might be a good direction. I work with an amazing engineer here in LA that really helps me find my sounds and samples that work. I think its always great having a bunch of people in the studio at a time because everyone can bounce ideas off each other. I get writers block a lot and I blame my touring schedule. The best thing to do before a studio session for me is to exercise! I recently released a co-lab with a columbian DJ named MOSKA who is an absolute legend. I reached out to him via social media as I had a beat I thought he could work with then the track was signed to Musical Freedom and off we went.
What is your Spirit Animal?
Fan question – “If you had to choose only one, Modelling or DJing?”
You can really do both. A lot of female djs model as well. It’s all part of the job.
