Australian house duo Choomba are releasing their thumping new house cut Wantchu on October 2nd, ahead of their Choomba – Wantchu Tour which kicks off October 19th. This follows their debut EP Choomdoskins earlier this year, which hit #4 on the overall Beatport Release Chart, #2 on the hyper competitive Tech-House Chart and also saw them come in at #36 on Australia’s overall Shazam Chart. With the sky being their only limit, Choomba’s abilities to churn out hits are second to none.
Although Wantchu has minimal words, it offers maximum bass with plenty of funky grooves from the get-go. Building like a spring under increasing pressure – until the inevitable release, when everything and everyone is shot into the stratosphere on the cue of a 90’s Spice Girls-esque vocal hook, Wantchu is pure energy front to back.

Made up of cousins Christian, also known as Luude and Tim Benson from Perth, Choomba’s innate ability to make fun, frenzied dance music with a difference has no doubt set them up for world domination. Existing in their own lane – they bring elements of 2000’s blog house into the fold of 2019 house and techno, with a unique ability to sound almost organic. Just seven months in from their debut, Choomba already have a string of big shows under their belts, studio time with Diplo in his LA, support on Triple J, Rinse FM, KCRW and more and their Choomba – Wantchu Tour to close out the year.
“It’s been a crazy whirlwind since we put out the EP and it went off and got all this love we never anticipated. All of a sudden we’re playing these crazy shows around Australia, getting hit up by labels and festival owners and working with Diplo in LA. Right now we’re most excited to be back at it – we’ve got a lot happening that’s super exciting and it’s all kicking off with this new song and tour. Wantchu is 100% good fun energy music and hopefully it’s the soundtrack to a lot of great times for people”.
