Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, together known as Gorgon City, are partly to blame for turning PAX into a household name.

The critically acclaimed production pair not only took the buzzing house and techno UK duo under their wing via repeat releases on their REALM imprint but went a step further when they joined forces for their propulsive belter “Alive” during the final months of 2020.

A little over a month later, PAX returned the favor by taking the hinges off Gorgon City’s “Trapdoor” through a sneaky reinterpretation that added a few new tricks to the harmonic club construction. Coming full circle now, the boys are tipping the balance back over with the weight of their take on “Cosmic Kiss.”

The celestial energy from the original still burns as bright as ever, however, the predecessor’s unforgiving thump is exchanged for an iridescent glow courtesy of Gorgon’s gracious groove. Orbiting around the poignant string motifs and woeful vocal work, a sleek and upbeat rhythm adds colorful contrast to anguished lyrics about a love that seemingly fell from the stars. Bold basslines are punctuated by perfectly executed percussive hits, warbling flourishes, and heavenly pads, all of which allows Gorgon City to expertly navigate through a constellation of sorrow, euphoria, and a contagious danceability that effectively wipes the slate clean. When all is said and done, you’ll walk away realizing some kisses are worth telling.

As one of the most illustrious names currently dominating the contemporary house space, the British duo Gorgon City need no introduction. They are still riding high from the release of their third studio album, ‘Olympia,’ a club-oriented collection of tracks that have been making the rounds, including standout cuts like the euphoric jam “You’ve Done Enough” with DRAMA, the captivating Sofi Tukker-assisted “House Arrest,” and the smooth driving “Dreams” alongside Jem Cooke.

In celebration of the album, they are gearing up to embark on a UK / US headlining album tour with stops at London Printworks, Manchester Albert Hall, Echostage (Washington) and more.

Kicking off their run of dates in September, the Gorgon City remix of “Cosmic Kiss” is undoubtedly going to sweep house enthusiasts off their feet regardless of what side of the pond they find themselves on.

More About Factory

Factory 93 explores the intersection of untethered creativity and bold self-expression, while never taking its finger off the pulse of the underground. When Insomniac broke out its figurative bolt cutters to dismantle the lock on the warehouse scene and return to its roots, it retold the story of its origins in hosting historic parties in the streets of Los Angeles.

It also gave birth to a movement where discerning heads are living on the frontlines of celebrating radical ideas through the fusion of immersive live art, cutting-edge technology, and exceptionally curated house and techno.

That vision continues to hold the same ground, even as the brand has grown and extends beyond the Downtown Los Angeles warehouse district, where it was originally conceived. Whether it’s at an intimate warehouse space or on a festival dancefloor, Factory 93 manufactures moments that make this culture one we’re proud to call our own.
